Stage 2c – Public Engagement Activities for Alignment Options at Tseung Kwan O
Public Engagement Activities
We would like to hear your views on the alignment options for Tseung Kwan O Section of the Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel. Therefore, we are going to launch a series of public engagement activities in September this year. Taking account of your views, we will undertake further assessments, select and refine the road alignment. We will then draw up a preferred road scheme and consult you again in the next stage of public consultation. The public engagement activities are summarized as follows:

Public Engagement Workshop
We are going to conduct a public engagement workshop for the alignment options at Tseung Kwan O Section. You are welcome to join the workshop to understand more details of the project and to present your valuable opinions. The details of the workshop are summarized below:

Stage 2b – Public Engagement Activities for Alignment Options at Cha Kwo Ling

In June and July 2010, we had various public engagement activities with local residents and Kwun Tong District Council members, to seek their views on the alignment options for Cha Kwo Ling Section of the Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel. The details of the meetings are shown below:

Stage 2a – Evaluating Options for Po Shun Road/Po Yap Road/Chui Ling Road Junction and Landscape Deck beside Ocean Shores

In November 2009, we had meetings with the local resident representatives and Sai Kung District Council members, to seek their views on design options of Po Shan Road/Po Yap Road/Chui Ling Road Junction and landscape deck beside Ocean Shores. The details of the meetings are shown below:

7 November 2009: Meeting with representatives from Park Central regarding the grade separated cycle track cum footbridge at Po Shun Road/Po Yap Road/Chui Ling Road Junction
11 November 2009: Meeting with representatives from Ocean Shores regarding landscape deck beside Ocean Shores
17 November 2009: Consult members of Sai Kung District Council.

 

 
Stage 1 – Envisioning and Understanding Concerns

During April – July 2009, we have collected views and suggestions from Sai Kung District Council and Kwun Tong District Council, local residents, representatives of nearby estates, and representatives of professional institutes, green groups and cycling associations. We have gathered valuable opinions which are useful for the subsequent study, including formulation and evaluation of the alignment options.

We will continue to consult the public on various topics about the project and will regularly update the information on "Public Events and Activities" in this website.
